The counterweight caused me some problems.
I drilled the two holes and made the threads for the screws.
Then I noticed I had drilled the holes in wrong places.
I drilled another two holes but the bit of the drill snapped inside the hole.
|
I hit it with a nail and a hammer and it came out of the other end.
I tried to pull the bit out but it snapped again. The hole was now too
big for the thread anyway so this counterweight was ruined.
|
I made second counterweight. Notice that I didn't cut out the lower
corner yet. That way I could drill the holes straight because the counterweight
wouldn't turn under the drill.
|
Guess what! The bit snapped again!
|
I had to make a new counterweight once again.
I drilled the holes extra carefully and it was a success.
I started to make the threads but this time the thread-tool
snapped into the hole. Haa haa!

Here are the troublemakers all together.
