Ladder Unit
As I was a kid in 1974 there was a fire on the 6th floor in a building
near our house. I was there looking as the firefighters were extinguishing it.
They climbed to the 6th floor on the ladder of a Ford ladder unit just like
this except that it was a little bit longer. I thought it was the coolest fire
truck I had ever seen.
