1969 Chevrolet Camaro
Modified Lego Set 10304
I bought and built this set.

I liked the way the set is designed. It's more old school and better shaped
than the Corvette set 10321.
Most Camaros look good to me but this particular model doesn't.
The headlights are not at the edges of the grill but more to the middle.

The blinds in front of the lights help a little.
In this set the instrument cluster is a sticker.
The sticker sheet had bent inside of the box and that sticker was gone.
I couldn't find it anywhere.
The sticker instrument cluster wouldn't look good anyway so I brickbuilt it.
All and all the design looked pretty good except one thing that usually
bothers me in the Icons-series Lego cars: the rear end is too short.
So, I made it one stud longer and took off couple of plates at the bottom.
Original.
Modified.
I lifted the rear "suspension" because it's so easy in this car.
This 3-stud long liftarm is normally in vertical position with the upper pin
in the red technic brick and the wheel is attached to the hole in the middle.
In this picture the liftarm is horizontal and that way the wheel is attached
one stud lower.
I also tested how the car would look with wider wheels.
And with even wider wheels.
Back to the original wheels.
This part is also changed.
Here is the original. The area beside the reverse lights was vertical.
I took off the right hand side mirror because the real car has the mirror
on the driver's side only.
The engine bay has inner mudguards and the wheels are not visible.
That's great.
